A question: Should I live close to work and friends but expensively and with strangers who I might not get along with or should I live far away and cheaply in Oakland, near and with friends who are smart and brash and passionate and politically inclined the way I like 'em? Lessee: convenient proximity or closest to home? (Only problem with the latter: I like the occasional chicken apple sausage or salmon roasted with honey and threads of basil and apparently I might hafta go vegan when I cook. Oh my.)
