TALES OF AN ORANGEPEELER

an archive of pleasures, wounds, sublimations
& other curiosities :: profile

12.11.03, thursday night

Past few days: gorged on silence, drank wine, avoided correspondence & the pile of notes on my desk, started Anchee Min's Red Azalea, worried over Dipti's kidneys, loved Kat's short story, constructed cucumber & avocado sandwiches, craved chocolate & watched the fog-cloaked cranes by day. At night, rain sequins the window screens iridescent.

. . .

I also remembered what a joy it is (a joy I cannot really share with Jimmy unless he and I are in the great dark outdoors), to wobble to the bathrooms of bars with another girl, for a pee & gossip, giddily.
