I'm grateful for some unexpected things, grace in its many guises: apricots from my mother-in-law; the loaf of freshly baked bread a friend just gave us; yesterday’s perfect afternoon on the beach; curious children, noting the kindness of others. Being can be soft and delicious, a warm and sunny day.
