The lump above my jaw is still bothering me. I am ringing the doctor tomorrow. (Google is obviously not my friend.) I keep imagining the future; I'm already planning my funeral. If this is cancer, I will start smoking again.

Anyways on the walk to the woods I spotted a peacock butterfly (Irish: péacóg) perched on a spear of magenta buddleia. Hey gorgeous! These last days of summer, I am so greedy: give me all the flowers, small flying creatures, panting dogs, ice creams, and languorous dusks.
